Have some old furniture that needs some sprucing up??

I looked at my white dresser & realized, wow this is looking dirty & dingy! I remembered a pin on Pinterest that I saw a while ago, displayed below. I love the blue color but I thought a grey ombre would go better in my bedroom & that it'd be a more neutral color for future bedroom changes.

Having some time on my hands I headed on over to the local home depot to pick up the supplies I needed.

Below is a list of the supplies I ended up getting.

  • 1 quart of Behr Lunar Surface in an eggshell finish

  • 1 quart of Behr Cosmic Quest in an eggshell finish

  • 1 quart of Behr Slate Rock in an eggshell finish

  • 1 pint of Rustoleum White paint in a semi-gloss finish

  • 1 paint roller wand with a 4" white foam roller

  • 4 pack of 4" white foam rollers

  • 6" plastic mini roller tray

  • Plastic 9' x 12' drop cloth

  • Make sure to ask for stir sticks & can openers!

  • All of this added up to be about $65

Once home I got right to work, as I was so excited to get this project started! Below are my step by step directions:

1. Lay out drop cloth

2. Take all drawers out of dresser & place on drop cloth

3. Take off all hardware on front of drawers

4. Open can of Rustoleum White paint & pour into tray

5. Paint body of dresser & let dry for a few hours

6. Rinse out tray & throw away old paint roller

7. Open can of Behr Lunar Surface paint & pour into tray

8. Put new foam roller on paint roller wand

9. Take top 2 drawers & paint them Behr Lunar Surface

10. Rinse out tray & throw away old paint roller

11. Open can of Behr Cosmic Quest paint & pour into tray

12. Put new foam roller on paint roller wand

13. Take next 2 drawers & paint them Behr Cosmic Quest

14. Rinse out roller tray & throw away old paint roller

15. Open can of Behr Slate Rock paint & pour into tray

16. Put new foam roller on paint roller wand

17. Take bottom 2 drawers & paint them Behr Slate Rock

18. Rinse out tray & throw away old paint roller

19. Let all drawers dry for a couple of hours

20. Once everything is dry, put drawers back into dresser
